This program grants financial aid for the applications for utility patents of projects that are selected by the Patent Committee of the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company (PRIDCO). The Committee meets every two months to evaluate the applications and select the best projects. The Industrial Services Area manages the transactions needed to grant financial support to the projects selected by the Committee.

The program also provides orientation to the local inventors about the procedures for the registration of patents in the National Office of Patents, Rights and Trade Mark Registry at Washington D.C.
