The Office of Science and Technology (OST) is a Puerto Rico Economic
Development Corporation (PRIDCO) division that was created to assist in the
development and growth of high technology industries in Puerto Rico. It is
comprised of a staff of committed individuals, all with backgrounds in the
areas of science and technology (engineering, physical sciences, biology, and
computers).
In order to improve competitiveness, Puerto Rico's industrial sector requires
the continuous incorporation of technological advances which are a product of a
vigorous research and development area.
