The Law 8, from October 2, 1986, establishes a special program of economic incentives for the local industry of furniture and related products, and apparel and similar products for the local market. These economic incentives consist of monetary aid granted by PRIDCO to stimulate, and provide support and assistance to the local furniture and apparel industry.

The economic incentives under this program will be granted only when the interested company fulfills the requisites and regulatory dispositions of Law 8.
